To recruit, promote, train and discipline all grades of its officers

To provide the best possible curative medical services.

To provide for the employees conducive working conditions for maximum out-put.

To ensure monitoring and supervision of health care delivery at all times

To manage hospitals and maintain equipment

To execute the general health policies approved by the Government

To recommend ways and means of increasing the revenue of the Board and recommend the charging of fees for patients

To ensure equitable distribution and judicious use of drugs

To project, procure and distribute materials and items required in all Hospitals/Dental Centres/Clinics.
